Project Overview
Fluidra Innovation Week (FIW) is an annual event structured around a specific theme each year, such as "Social and Technological Trends." The event follows a multi-phase process inspired by the Lombard Method, incorporating Design Thinking and Design Doing methodologies.
Content (Brief)
The goal of FIW is to foster innovation and creativity among participants by immersing them in a structured process that encourages the generation, prototyping, and presentation of new ideas. The main phases of the event include Inspiration, Ideation, Prototyping, and Communication.
Phases of the Event
Inspiration
Participants are immersed in the event's theme through inspiring talks and workshops. This phase aims to spark creativity and prepare teams for the ideation process.
Ideation
Teams generate a wide range of ideas, then narrow them down to select the most innovative and feasible ones. This phase encourages thinking outside the box and exploring various possibilities.
Prototyping
Teams develop prototypes to validate the viability of their ideas. This involves creating tangible models that can be tested and refined.
Communication
Teams prepare their final presentations, honing their communication and pitching skills to effectively convey their ideas to the jury and other stakeholders.
My Role as Designer and Mentor
Design Guidance
I provided technical and practical guidance on product design, UX/UI, and aesthetics. This included helping teams translate their ideas into visual and functional prototypes.
Constructive Feedback
I evaluated the teams' ideas and prototypes, offering constructive feedback to help refine and optimize their projects for feasibility and effectiveness.
Resource Facilitation
I connected teams with relevant tools, techniques, and resources, such as design software, methodologies, and industry best practices.
Motivation and Inspiration
I played a crucial role in keeping the teams motivated and inspired throughout the process, sharing experiences and examples to spark new ideas and approaches.
Impact
During the event, I mentored multiple teams, guiding them through the phases from initial inspiration to final presentation. This experience allowed me to contribute my expertise and learn from the diverse, talented teams involved in FIW.
Final Deliverables
High-Fidelity Mockups
The final mockups provided a clear and attractive interface for the event's outcomes. These mockups showcased the design solutions that teams developed during the event, highlighting key aspects of their projects.

Presentation
The final presentation summarized the teams' work, illustrating their journey through the Inspiration, Ideation, Prototyping, and Communication phases. It included detailed explanations of their concepts, design decisions, and the impact of their solutions.

My involvement in Fluidra Innovation Week concluded with the presentation of the final high-fidelity mockups and the comprehensive presentation of the teams' projects. The structured guidance and support provided throughout the event ensured that participants could develop innovative and feasible solutions aligned with the event's theme. This case study highlights the importance of mentorship and structured design processes in fostering creativity and innovation.
